ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS

When you explode the cc_Base Mermaid Avatar from the Scene Manager View, you will see the following Handles which are exposed to you for very specific functions:

2_RL_G6_Spine01
2_RL_G6_Waist
2_RL_G6_Pelvis

The upper part of the Mermaid Tail is skinned to these Handles so this means that if you select them and scale them, you will see the resulting effect on the Tail Geometry. Note that these Handles are also attached to the corresponding bones of the Standard iClone Character for achieving perfect connectivity between the Tail and the Upper body during animation.

For instance, if you apply a Muscular Man deformation on the base mesh while in the Character Creator Tool and this result in the Skin piercing through the Tail around the waist area, do not worry because once in iClone, you can select the 2_RL_G6_Pelvis handle and scale it to Conform to the new Muscular Base Mesh.

If you further explode the cc Mermaid Tail Accessory, you will reveil the Tail_RootBone sub-object. This is the Tail Root Bone.

You can select the Tail_RootBone and then invoke the Edit Motion Layer Panel to set key Frames on individual Bones of the Chain.

You can also adjust the Spring Effect of the Tail within iClone Spring Settings. The Spring effect is currently applied starting at Bone02 of the tail bone chain. This is by design in order to free Bone01 for doing keyframe animations; e.g. fold the tail into sitting pose. Alternatively, you can also disable the Spring Effect altogether and then apply keyframes to any bones of the chain.

IMPORTANT NOTES: For best user experience, make sure your Real-Time Render Options are set for High Quality Real-Time Renders in the Preference Menu:

- Normal Map
- Anti-Alias
- Mipmap

and Max Texture Size = 4096 x 4096 or greater.

I look forward in seeing your Creations !
